Bharatanatyam Arangetram of Neethu Vivek
You are cordially invited to the Bharatanatyam Arangetram of Neethu Vivek, Disciple of Guru Krishna Zivraj Nair, Artistic Director, Sanskruti school of Dance, Cambridge.
Neethu will be presenting a traditional margam exploring all the nuances of Bharatanatyam including rhythm (nritta) and abhinaya (mime). Accompanied by live Carnatic musicians, the evening celebrates Neethu’s professional debut on stage.

Bharatanatyam
Bharatanatyam is one of the classical dances originated in the state of Tamilnadu, India. The main aspects: nritta(abstract or pure dance movements with rhythm), nritya, the lyrics of the song conveyed by the dancer using facial expressions, hand gestures and body movements, natya - the dramatic aspect.
Arangetram is a solo debut, on stage performance by the dancer, after years of training, and is a tamil word – meaning ’ascending the stage’.The dancer performs a traditional repertoire of Margam.
Neethu has been learning Bharatanatyam under Guru Krishna Zivraj -Nair since 2019.
She started learning dance at the age of 7, in India. She trained under Smt Kunjumol, Smt Najarani and Kalamandalam Vijayakumari. She performed in youth festivals and won prizes.
Since resuming training under her Guru, she completed ISTD Grade 2 with Distinction. She performed: Mastana, online ‘Big weekend’, ‘Navsanskruti’ and Diwali events.
