Bharatanatyam

Bharatanatyam is one of the classical dances originated in the state of  Tamilnadu,  India.  The main aspects: nritta(abstract or pure dance movements with rhythm), nritya, the lyrics of the song conveyed by the dancer using facial expressions, hand gestures and body movements, natya - the dramatic aspect.

Arangetram is a solo debut, on stage performance by the dancer, after years of training, and is a tamil word – meaning ’ascending the stage’.The dancer performs a traditional repertoire of Margam.
